Yes, you can print this checklist or save it as a PDF. Pick Letter or A4 in the tool above, press Print, and choose “Save as PDF” if you want a file. It comes out as two pages with 24 steps, large checkboxes and a notes column. Nothing is uploaded.
Steps to print or save it
- Set the months left. The tool starts at 12. Lower it if the wedding is closer.
- Choose Letter or A4. This changes row height, not the content.
- Preview the two pages. Page one holds the early bookings, page two holds the final months.
- Press Print. For a file, change the destination to “Save as PDF”. For paper, check that scale reads 100 percent.
Tick a few boxes before you save if you want the file to show progress. The tool remembers your ticks in this browser only.

Print layout: steps per page and checkbox size
The sheet is built so the same 24 steps fit both paper sizes. Letter is shorter and wider than A4, so Letter rows are a little tighter.
Table: print layout for Letter and A4 (our estimate, assumptions below)
| Setting | Letter | A4 |
|---|---|---|
| Printable area, half-inch margins | 190.5 x 254 mm | 184.6 x 271.6 mm |
| Steps per page (two pages) | 12 | 12 |
| Row height at 12 steps | 18.2 mm | 19.7 mm |
| Checkbox size | 7 mm square | 7 mm square |
| Notes column width | about 70 mm | about 67 mm |
| Row height if all 24 steps share one page | 9.1 mm | 9.8 mm |
We assume 12.7 mm margins on every side, 35.6 mm per page for the header and footer, and a step column that takes 42 percent of the width. A 7 mm box needs a row of at least 9 mm to avoid touching the line above. That is why one page is possible but tight. These are layout targets from our own math, not printer measurements. Printers add their own margin, so check the preview.

Page one adds up to 1,080 minutes, or 18 hours. Page two adds up to 950 minutes, about 15.8 hours. The full list is about 33.8 hours spread over 31 weeks.
The invitation, save-the-date, RSVP and dress dates follow common vendor guidance, listed in the sources below. Guides disagree by a month or two, so treat those rows as a starting point and ask your own shop or printer.
If you only have 7 months left
In the example above, 10 of the 24 steps have due dates before November 5. They add up to 930 minutes, or 15.5 hours. That sounds like a lot, but it fits in four weekends at about four hours each.
Do them in this order, because the first ones sell out:
- Venue and date, then officiant.
- Photographer, caterer and DJ or band.
- Attire order. Ask the shop for its lead time before you pick a gown.
- Budget and guest range, which you need before any of the above can be priced.
- Hotel block, florist and the rest.
Tick them on the printout as each weekend ends. Page one will look crowded in week one and mostly checked by week four. For a month or less, switch to the final-month list instead.
Choices that change how it prints
Two pages or one. Two pages give a 7 mm box and room to write. One page works if you only tick and keep details in your phone.
Black and white or color. The sheet is plain black on white, so a cheap printer is fine. Nothing depends on color, and boxes stay readable when photocopied.
Paper or PDF. Paper lives on the fridge and gets a pen. A PDF can be texted to a parent or your partner. Many people do both.
Month filter. If you are six months out, lower the months setting. The checklist drops steps that are already behind you.
Three print mistakes and how to fix them
The footer is cut off. Your printer is scaling the page. Set scale to 100 percent and tick “actual size” in the dialog.
The PDF shows empty boxes after you ticked some. You saved before the tick registered. Tick, wait a second, then print again.
Your parent cannot read it. Print page one only, at the largest paper you have, and write the three next steps at the top in pen.
Send it to the people who need it
Share the page link, or save the PDF and attach it. Here are three short messages you can copy and edit.
- To your partner: “Printed our wedding checklist. 24 steps, venue and photographer first. Can you take the ones with your name on them?”
- To your maid of honor: “Here is the plan in order. Page two has the dress fittings and the day-before list, so you can see where you fit.”
- To a parent who likes paper: “I made a printable checklist so you can follow along. It is two pages and it works on Letter or A4.”
For the same steps in a spreadsheet with owner and due columns, use the checklist template. To turn every step into a dated reminder, try the planning timeline. Start with the full 12-month checklist if you want the reason behind each step. Once the venue is set, the day-of schedule is the next sheet to print. Use the budget planner before you book anything with a deposit, and the venue questions list when you tour.

Questions people ask
Can I save the wedding checklist as a PDF?
Yes. Press Print on the checklist, then pick "Save as PDF" as the destination in the print dialog. On an iPhone, use the share sheet's Print option and pinch the preview to open it as a PDF. The file saves to your device only. Nothing uploads, so tick boxes first if you want them in the file.
Does the checklist print on one page?
By default it prints on two pages with 12 steps each, so the boxes are big and there is room to write. A one-page version is possible, because 24 rows still fit on Letter or A4, but each row shrinks to about 9 to 10 millimeters and the notes column gets tight. Choose one page only if you will tick, not write.
Is there a wedding checklist printable free?
Yes. This one is free to print as often as you like, needs no account and asks for no email. Pick Letter or A4, choose how many months you have left, and print. If you lose a copy or the plan changes, print a fresh one. The page also works without a printer when you save it as a PDF.
Should I print Letter or A4?
Print the size your printer holds. In the United States and Canada that is Letter. Most other countries use A4. The sheet is laid out for both, and the row height changes slightly so each page stays full without clipping at the edge. If your printer scales pages by default, set scale to 100 percent in the dialog.
Can I add my own steps before I print?
Use the notes column. It is wide on purpose, about 67 to 70 millimeters, so you can write a vendor name, a deposit date or a phone number next to a step. For a step that is not on the list, such as a rental or a child care plan, write it on the blank lines at the bottom of page two.
